Our dark grade syrup boasts a bold, robust maple flavor. Darker syrup is produced later in the sugaring season. It's ideal for use the traditional ways, on a steaming stack of pancakes or waffles slathered with butter, but also stands up against stronger flavors. We like to drizzle some on when roasting squash, or as a glaze on vegetables, meats and scones. It's perfect in a cup of coffee when you want to ensure that maple flavor will shine through. Each bottle of syrup is twice-filtered for purity and is filled by hand.
Recipe Tip:Next time you're mashing sweet potatoes or roasting squash, drizzle on a little dark syrup and add a dash of cinnamon and black pepper before serving. Add some butter and/or hot pepper for a decadent side dish.
Please note: Grade A, Dark syrup is defined as that with a light transmittance of 25% to 49.9% and withrobusttaste. Each bottle will display natural variations within this range.
