Our honey comes raw, straight from the hive and is never heated or treated. The bees harvest nectar from a variety of flowers and trees across our little valley throughout the year. In the spring, the dandelion blossoms provide their first large harvest. In the summer, they buzz loudly about our raspberry bushes and the small blossoms of white clover dotted across the fields. As summer draws to a close, they feast on the heavy flowerheads of goldenrod and aster, storing much of their harvest away for the winter months. The chorus of flavors harvested over the year is blended by the bees into the spectacular culmination that is wildflower honey. Each jar of raw honey is filtered for purity and filled by hand.
Recipe Tip:In liquid form, we love it drizzled on yogurt or in dressings and glazes for salads, meats, and vegetables. In crystallized form, our absolute favorite treat is to whip up the honey with softened butter and spread it on a thick slice of toast. Yum!
Please note: As an untreated, raw product, your honey may arrive in liquid or crystallized form. Both are delicious to enjoy as is. However, if you would prefer liquid honey, simply heat your jar in a warm water bath on the stove until the crystals dissolve. If you prefer crystallized honey, keep your jar in a cool, dry place and it will crystallize over time.
Warning: Do not feed to children under one year of age.
